Between October 17th to 24th, about 500 cyclists representing 23 countries and 18 Brazilian states and the Federal District, will change the routine in the towns of Mucugê, Rio de Contas and the surroundings. In the seven stages of the competition, starting with the prologue on Sunday (18th), some of the best mountain bikers in the world will race 600 km with a total altitude of 13,000 meters.

Among Brazilians, the ultimate goal is to get the 120 points in world rankings of UCI (International Cycling Union). Thus, names like Henrique Avancini, Ricardo Pscheidt, Frederico Mariano, Sherman Trezza, Raiza Goulão, Isabella Lacerda and Erika Gramisceli, give their best to win the title the categories Open and Ladies, since they are prime candidates for the spot in the Olympics Rio 2016 . In the Male category, while Frederick and Sherman form a duo, Avancini will be pedaling with the rookie Wolfgang Soares and Pscheidt will be with his Trek/Shimano teammate, Leandro Donizete. Among women, Raiza Goulão will ride with Viviane Favery, Isabella Lacerda is with the 2014 champion, Nina Baum (USA), and Erika Gramiscelli is riding with Letícia Cândido.

"This edition will be particularly special due to the intense competition among Brazilian bikers for spot in the Olympics Rio 2016. In addition, once again our athletes will measure forces with some of the international stars of the MTB, which should increase the technical level of the sport. Brasil Ride will make sure everything is ready for the athletes to have a great competition, "says the founder of Brasil Ride, Mario Roma.

International attractions - Cross Country World Champion in 1995 and gold medal at the Atlanta Olympics in 1996, the Dutchman Bart Brentjens is at the top of the list of European cyclists in the competition.
