The opening ceremony at the 5th edition of Brasil Ride will be in great style with acrobatic paragliding
It’s all ready for the beginning of 5th Brasil Ride next Sunday (19/Oct), an event with the compromise in promoting the sport, tourism and leisure in Chapaga Diamantina region, in Bahia.
To stay in memory, Brasil Ride 2014 prepared and great opening with a spectacle coming from the sky to inspire the cyclists! Rafael Goberna, one of the best paragliders in world will be doing a performance showing his abilities paragliding.
“It’s always a satisfaction and it is very rewarding to serve as inspiration for other people, specially for high level athletes that are at the Brasil Ride. No, I never flew, but always wanted to flight in Chapada Diamantina, because it’s one of the most beautiful places in Brasil. I have always heard that it is a crazy landscape. I cannot see the time to feel this experience and for sure that it will be full of emotions, adrenaline and interacting with public”, comments Rafael Goberna
In the mountains, between the 19th and 25th of October, cyclists from 20 countries and 20 Brazilian States are going to ride 600 km on trails and historic tracks from, and it will become an unique experience for each one called as “More than a race, a stage in life”.
Brasil Ride happens in a privileged place – Chapada Diamantina – that fascinates every visitor, whether seen from the sky, which is the case for Rafael Goberna, or from the cyclist point of view in land. The region has 26 towns where the rivers Paraguassu, Jacuípe and Rio de Contas begins
